Putin accuses the Ukrainian army of trying to penetrate the Russian border
Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Kursk Province, in his first visit to the province since announcing its complete liberation from Ukrainian forces on April 26, according to a statement issued by the Kremlin.
Putin had visited the province last March, following the successful implementation of Operation Potok, which enabled Russian forces to penetrate deep into the positions of Ukrainian forces inside Kursk.
Putin also inspected the construction site of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant-2 in the city of Kurchatov.
During the visit, the Russian President held a meeting with representatives of volunteer organizations, and also met with the Acting Governor of the Kursk Province, Alexander Khinshtyin.
Putin also chaired, in the city of Kurchatov, a meeting with the mayors of the province, and inspected the construction work of the new nuclear power plant.
Putin said during the visit that “the destruction of the World War II monument by Ukrainian forces indicates that Russia is waging a war against neo-Nazis.”
