A Syrian military source: The attack that targeted the capital, Damascus, was carried out using missiles launched from a mobile platform.
A Syrian military source reported on Friday evening that the attack targeting the capital, Damascus, was carried out using missiles launched from a mobile platform.
The source stated in a statement carried by the official Syrian news agency, SANA, that the attack resulted in the injury of a Syrian woman as a result of an explosion resulting from the targeting of a house in the Mezzeh area, according to what was reported by the same agency, in addition to the official Syrian Al-Ikhbariya channel.
The source explained that the attack that took place in the capital was “treacherous” and used missiles launched from a mobile platform, noting that the party responsible for carrying out the attack and the method of its implementation are still unknown.
The source confirmed that the competent authorities are making intensive efforts to follow up on the details of the attack and determine its circumstances, with the aim of providing all possible information to public opinion.
On the other hand, the new Syrian government seeks to enhance security and pursue elements that attempt to destabilize stability, including remnants of the former regime who continue to cause security unrest.
It is noteworthy that on December 8, 2024, the Syrian revolutionaries were able to enter the capital, Damascus, announcing the overthrow of the regime of Bashar al-Assad (2000-2024), who succeeded his father, Hafez al-Assad (1970-2000), in power. The Baath regime had imposed its security grip on the country for many decades, committing widespread human rights violations, which made many Syrians consider the fall of the regime a national day symbolizing freedom and change.
